Writing at the intersection of literary fiction, speculative storytelling, and psychological drama, she centers women navigating conflicting relationships with faith, family, and self.
She is drawn to the space where the personal becomes mythic, where family ghosts come to life, and ordinary women discover extraordinary power within themselves.
Sierra believes black women deserve to be fully realized on the page: soft and fierce, flawed and powerful, vulnerable and otherworldly. Drawing on a background in film and television, she brings a vivid, cinematic sensibility to her prose.
Based in Philadelphia, Sierra is currently expanding her portfolio and shaping a body of work rooted in the belief that there are still endless black stories waiting to be
re-imagined, redefined, and remembered.
